The Auckland Freediving Club was started in 2009 with the purpose of enabling like minded people to train together, share knowledge and dive safey. Located in Auckland City, the club trains twice a week at Youthtown (in the heart of the city) and depth training at Lake Pupuke on the North Shore of Auckland.

The Lazy Seals Freediving Club was New Zealands first Freediving Club. Located in Wellington, the Lazy Seals train twice weekly at the Freyburg Pool and during the warmer months, often organise trips to Lake Taupo for depth training. The Lazy Seals Freediving Club is where some of the worlds best Freedivers have started - divers like Dave Mullins, Kathryn Nevatt (formerly McPhee), Guy Brew.
