New National Records For Static Apnea

Both the Mens and Womens static apnea records were extended this weekend on day one of the Ocean Hunter Deep Obsession 08 competition held in Auckland.
Guy Brew reclaimed his record, held breifly by Dave Mullins with an impressive 8:31, extending the previous record by 20 seconds.
Kathryn McPhee extended the womens Static apnea record, which she has held since 2006 from 5mins 46 to 7 mins 01.
Further details on these records, and full results of the Deep Obsession 08 competition, which is one of the largest competitions that has been held in New Zealand, will be posted in the next few days.
